About
About Critic Atlas
Critic Atlas is a personalized review and recommendation discovery tool for games. The goal is to help you find games, reviewers, and opinions that line up with how you actually play, instead of relying only on raw averages.
Reviewer and critic alignment
We treat individual reviewers and critics as the core unit of taste. By comparing your saved ratings against how specific reviewers have scored the same games, the app estimates which reviewers tend to align with you, so a score becomes easier to interpret.
Personalized discovery
Game pages can show a Personalized Score and recommendations derived from your ratings, your preferences, matched reviewers, and patterns from users with similar taste. These signals are meant to give context, not to replace your own judgment.
Subjective, not objective
Critic Atlas is about subjective taste, not objective truth. The scoring model is experimental and labeled as such in the app. Scores and recommendations are informational and are not guarantees about any game.
Privacy-conscious similar-user signals
When the app uses signal from users who keep their profiles private, it does so only in aggregate and only when product-safe thresholds are met. Private users are never shown as identities, and aggregate signals never reveal individual names, ratings, or reviews. See our Privacy Policy for details.
No affiliation
Critic Atlas is not affiliated with or endorsed by game publishers, developers, review outlets, critics, IGDB, Twitch, or OpenCritic unless stated otherwise. See our Attributions page for how we use and credit external data sources.
